The wee ones in the family are beginning to graduate to Big Girl Beds,
so I'm making the afghan/bedspreads that are traditionally awarded in
connection with this accomplishment.

Have to think back, we have made some progress but there is so much

Request for "Good Stuff" for DSis09 Mar 2010 12:56 GMT3
So, DSis phones me on Friday evening (26 Feb)-- two days before the
cruise I took her on -- to tell me that the UPS delivery truck at work
ran into her car while it was parked and totaled it!  Now remember that
this poor woman works at Dillard's selling stuff and is lucky to get ...

New quilting table10 Mar 2010 13:52 GMT2
Maybe I'm starting to develop some version of a quilting studio!  My "living
room" is 30' by 50' because I designed the house to have a big open space
for music, art, books, entertaining, dining, etc. etc.  I have long had a
big, grubby table (slightly larger than a dining table) ...
Baffled by cutting mat10 Mar 2010 13:50 GMT29
I bought a new cutting mat the other day, larger than the one I already had,
at a good discount.  I am perplexed, however, by the fact that the inches
count from left to right on all four edges of the mat.  In order to count
from right to left, which is my usual practice, I have ...

Geo Bear landed in Kent at 11:30 this morning, safe and sound!
If I end up going to York to see the Gadget Queen, I'll take him with
me.  Otherwise I'll take him to Canterbury or Rochester, and send him on
his way in a couple or three days.

Where are you, girls!?09 Mar 2010 23:36 GMT7
What is this, does my server not show or are there no comments on the 82 red
carpet of you know what? I had a little peek at things here:

that can't have been all. Anyway, my personal favourite for the ...
Been to the sewing machine repair shop today...09 Mar 2010 21:02 GMT3
... and had a great time. Well, sort of, since I had DD with me, and they
closed at 12:30 and I arrived there at 12:25. (You know, the usual struggle
which shoes to wear, getting the bundle of food, entertainment and hygiene
things packed and the car loaded with sewing machines, ...
Making Tights Into Stockings08 Mar 2010 07:52 GMT3
I am plus size and lots of the lovely tights (panty hose) available ie
Pamela Mann are one size only and therefore won't fit.
Do you think it would be possible to cut off the body part of the tights and
sew the legs to some type of stretch lace and make them into stockings?

I finished the Scarlet Letter project, on my red velvet mat.
I managed to get the mat all sewn up and done as well.
Thanks to those of you that wrote in to suggest some threads.

More on the latest hat!06 Mar 2010 16:23 GMT2
Gluing the peak on.  I had help.  In fact, Himself did it and I held the
camera.
There's a cat in there too...  No, not IN the hat - just fairly close
