"Oh, you're a light beer drinker, then"30 Jun 2008 17:31 GMT2
I hear this a LOT when I mention my favorite style is IPA (and APA).
I also hear:
"Oh, you're into watery beer, I see"
"Have you ever tried a beer with flavor?"

Has anyone out there ever blended two different batches?
I brewed a ESB a few months back and it never carbonated.... tastes
great... just ZERO carbonation. I tried all the tricks -  carb tabs,

Kegging26 Jun 2008 04:11 GMT29
Hi again
I posted a while back about the Corney Kegs, and I must say you guys gave me
some excellent info.  I called the homebrew shop here in town and they don't
sell the kegs seperately, but they do sell a complete kegging kit.  They
dorm style "compact" refrigerator25 Jun 2008 15:40 GMT8
Due to the increase in the size of my family (i.e. kids) I seem to have lost
my garage refrigerator to my wife. Not a bad thing considering how much
clutter we accumulate in the fridge inside the house. I need to buy another
fridge to ferment my beer in.  I don't want to get ...

Advice please...23 Jun 2008 23:42 GMT43
First time here, so please be gentle with me!
So - my good lady wife bought me a "micro-brewery" kit as a present the

with stuff (engineering background).
Corny Kegs23 Jun 2008 21:33 GMT39
I've been reading this group for a while and I have to say that you all are
really great and helpful!  Now I have a question.  I have been making
'Brewhouse' beer kits for a nice while now, doing the whole bottle
conditioning thing.  This has been great, but i'm getting annoyed ...
Mash Tun Question23 Jun 2008 18:51 GMT23
Today I brewed my first all grain batch. It's didn't go so hot. I kept
getting a stuck sparge. I am using the stainless braid hooked to a 3/8
ball valve. What seemed to be the issue is that the stainless braid
would both collapse near the connection and is seemed to float on the

Vanilla from a Hefeweizen?23 Jun 2008 00:43 GMT1
I'm wondering if anybody has tried to emphasize vanilla flavors over
others--including banana--in a Hefeweizen.  Is there something one can do
with yeast to manage to pull that out?  I'm thinking yeast strains,
fermentation temperatures, pitching quantities, stuff like that.  I
