Free fabric.scraps01 Aug 2009 00:33 GMT13
Hi, Long time no chat. Been having eye problems that seem to be gone now.

Anyhow, I've been fondling nearly all of my fabric and finding that I have
so many scraps that I will never use and if anyone wants ...

lots of ads showing them.  My question is, is all this sewing
Another CQ Question31 Jul 2009 22:02 GMT5
I've seen pics of a few crazy quilts that *appear* to have some pieces

I had to get up two hours early this morning due to a massive and
inconvenient migraine.  Whilst channel surfing, I came across an
infomercial for a whizbang called a "Cricut Expression" machine.  It's
difficult to listen/concentrate/comprehend through level 7 pain in

Sewing Binding Onto Baby Quilt30 Jul 2009 20:58 GMT10
I have been working on a baby quilt for my new granddaughter and I am down
to the binding.  This is my second baby quilt (hand quilted).  I think I
sewed one side of the binding on the machine and hand sewed the other on my
first quilt.  I was attempting to machine sew both sides ...

Finished a light quilt for DD1 using a cheater sheet of Barbie and
prequilted backing. Went together in one day and she was thrilled with
it. I birthed it then just top stitch once around the edge and again a
few inches in from the edge.
flannel sheets as backing30 Jul 2009 15:58 GMT8
The person who wants me to make a memory quilt of her daughter's toddler
clothes gave me the child's first adult bedsheet, which is flannel, to

On thinking this over, I'm not sure this is a good idea.  But I don't

Gifts for the nursing homes29 Jul 2009 22:22 GMT4
Sandy's post about her MIL's experience at the rehab center reminds me
of the well received gifts my guild made for a local nursing home. If
any of you need to practice your quilting consider making pretty or
bright lap robes and other coordinating items for the nursing home or

for $99.99.  Their 40% off any notion coupon has a limit up $49.99 so we
can't use a discount on this.  The picture shows the ...
