Unisaw Mod. 34-802 Elec. Prob. Advice Please31 Jul 2009 23:38 GMT13
My Unisaw is equipped with a magnetic stater (as were all of this
model).  It has a push-button switch mounted on the front of the case
for turning it on and off. In order to get the saw to run I must hit
the on button as many as 40 or 50 times to get it going.  No problem

Rockler Visit31 Jul 2009 16:20 GMT110
I had some business near the local Rockler store today and dropped in for a
visit.  I haven't been in there for awhile. A lot more tools there now.
When I walked in the door, therre was the big, new Delta table saw.  It
looked nice and cost about $3,300. What was most interesting ...

This is a play HOUSE. It is made with treated wood supports covered in
a high strength industrial polyurethane foam covered with a polyurea

How to reclaim painted wood?30 Jul 2009 16:00 GMT12
Do any of you reclaim wood for your projects?  What
do you do to prepare the stock?  I have some nice
pieces but they are painted and I don't want to
use paint remover.  I need to plane it down but

I bought a 6" dial caliper from Lee Valley for about $30 and have been
satisfied with it. I had looked at the Starrett but decided my work
would never justify something so pricey.
The other day I was cruising a yard-sale store for cheap novels, and

Update on gluing wood.28 Jul 2009 04:58 GMT16
As I mentioned in earlier post about moistening wood before gluing. All of
you were correct in replies. I took the items to a friend to thickness sand.
He dropped one and it fell apart at the glue joints. So much for my bright
idea. I learn a lot from this group, thanks. Warren
Biscut jointer Q's28 Jul 2009 01:27 GMT50
A while back I bought a PC biscuit jointer and have just gotten an
excuse to use it.  I broke it out today, planning to add an Ash edge
some plywood for a cabinet I'm making and have run into some
questions:
