I am about to make new cabinets for the kitchen. I am thinking of all drawers for the bottoms, with the drawer fronts being applied veneer. Each bank of drawers would come from the same veneer piece with the grain running vertically so the grain will be continuous. The veneer

If you aren't ready to jump on the bag o' tools that Ridgid is offering that has a multitool in it, you might want to check out HF's new variable speed multitool. They have it on sale now and it is a pretty nice looking machine.

| A little customer service story | 23 Feb 2010 15:46 GMT | 7 |
I bought a Kreg Precision Band Saw Fence because it was on sale or something at Woodcraft (and it gave a perfect excuse to buy a bandsaw). When I was assmbling it, I found the hole in the clamp block for the lock down knob had not been tapped for the thread.

| Dealing with saw dust while hand sanding | 23 Feb 2010 06:35 GMT | 29 |
I recently completed a cherry headboard for a queen bed. After listening to Bill Bush at a local woodworking show, I have become a fan of hand sanding rather than using a random orbital sander with dust removal. The headboard came out great but the sawdust was a real mess. The ...

| Iturra Design 2010 Catalog PDF | 23 Feb 2010 04:36 GMT | 16 |
I have a PDF of the 2010 Iturra Design Catalog. Its about 38 MB. I don't think its a copyright violation to share it, as I assume they want it available to woodworkers. I have no idea of how to make it available. Suggestions if there is any interest, and I'm not

| Choice of wood for cutting board | 22 Feb 2010 18:01 GMT | 15 |
I am looking to build a cutting board (for bread) which I want to make out of a subway-tile like arrangement of dark wood blocks with some light wood picture framing the board and for creating some letters. The choice of wood should be hard (to minimize wear-and-tear from

As mentioned in my previous post, I am planning on building a bread cutting board. Obviously, I need a waterproof glue but I'm not sure which glue gives the best performance in terms of long-term strength, water-resistance,
